Diamond Painting is a wonderful hobby – but sometimes you encounter a challenge.
Whether it's displaced stones, a colour that doesn't match or a curling canvas: we all have moments like this. Don't worry, at Painting by Numbers Expert we are happy to help you. Below you will find the most common problems and our practical solutions.
⛔️ PROBLEM: The stones do not stick well
Even if you work neatly, stones can come loose – especially if your painting has just been finished.
💎 SOLUTION 💎
Stand your work upright and see where it comes loose. Gently push the stones back with a pen or toothpick. For extra security, you can use a special Diamond Painting sealer to secure everything.
⛔️ PROBLEM: You accidentally dropped all the stones
Oops! One clumsy movement and everything is on the floor.
💎 SOLUTION 💎
Pull a pantyhose over the hose of your vacuum cleaner and carefully suck up the stones. They remain on the wick and you can then easily put them back in your bowl. Tip: savealways put your stones in boxes with clear labels.
⛔️ PROBLEM: The rows are skewed
Don't panic – this is more common than you think.
💎 SOLUTION 💎
Use tweezers or a pebble pusher to straighten them. The sooner you notice it, the easier it is to correct.
⛔️ PROBLEM: Stones are missing
Small stones disappear easily – under the table or in the carpet.
💎 SOLUTION 💎
You can easily reorder individual colours from us. This way you can quickly get back to your project – without frustration.
⛔️ PROBLEM: A colour is disappointing
Sometimes you only see during installation that a colour does not go well with the rest.
💎 SOLUTION 💎
Carefully remove the stones with tweezers and replace them with a different colour. Or deliberately give it a personal twist – many customers actually like that!
⛔️PROBLEM: Your canvas keeps curling
New or long-stored canvas sometimes does not want to lie flat.
💎 SOLUTION 💎
Place the canvas on a flat surface, place baking paper over it and gently roll over it with a rolling pin. Or place it between two heavy books. A Diamond Painting storage roll is also ideal!
