7 smart tips to make better use of your Diamond Painting tray

7 smart tips to make better use of your Diamond Painting tray

Want to do more with your bowl? This is how it works!

In each Diamond Painting package contains a small plastic container - often overlooked, but very useful. You use it to sort and pick up stones, but did you know that you can do much more with it?

In this article we share 7 smart ways to get the most out of your Diamond Painting tray. Perfect for beginners and advanced users!

1. Leave the stones in place 🔹

Place only a small number of stones in the container (approxone third is enough). Gently shake it back and forth: the stones will then automatically turn with the flat side down and the shiny side up.

Extra tip: Gently tap the bottom or spout of the container to tighten the rows even more. Ideal for use with a multi-placer!

2. Prevent sliding with an anti-slip mat 🧢

Place the container on the table instead of holding it. This way you prevent it from falling over. Use a anti-slip mat (like the one in the car) to keep it stable.

  • ✔ Suitable for flat and sloping workplaces
  • ✔ Can be used multiple times and easy to remove
  • Please note: Choose a mat without silicone to avoid adhesive residue

3. Stones stuck together? Don't panic! 🔨

Are your stones static or a little damp? Place them in the container, place a second container on top and press gently. The friction causes them to come loose automatically.

Pro tip: Rub the two containers together - this way you can break up even stubborn lumps.

4. Using multiple colours at once 🎨

Are you working in an area with multiple colours? Then prepare several containers with different colours.

Useful: Label each container with a sticker with the symbol or DMC number. This is how you stay organized.

5. Temporary storage? Use your container! 📆

Done for today, but not yet with the project? Cover the container with cling film or a suitable lid. This is how you storethe stones without having to sort them again.

6. Keep your containers clean 🧹

Cleaning with a damp cloth or cotton swab after each project works wonders. This way the stones don't stick and they stay in place.

7. Upgrade to a better container 💡

Did you know that there is also premium containers exist? Consider models made of silicone or 3D-printed plastic with extra fine ribs, a spout with lid or non-slip feet.

At Painting by Numbers Expert you will find different types of containers that make your work a lot more comfortable.

Conclusion: more peace and precision with the right container

Your Diamond Painting tray may be small, but with the right tips it will become an indispensable helper. You work more accurately, more clearly and, above all, with more fun!
