On this page you will find some examples to learn how to draw a cat in different poses, including some step-by-step instructions.
Drawing a cat's face
Personally, we find it quite difficult to draw cats because of their complex faces. Not only the almond-shaped eyes, but also the almost snout give little insight into the life of a cat.

Drawing cat eyes
Still, we have tried to show how to draw a cat's eyes or a cat's nose.

Drawing or painting a cat
Here you will find several example photos of how to draw a cat. To improve spatial insight, you can first use a frame, for example. In addition, it is advisable to work step by step. First draw in less detail and make the cat more detailed step-by-step.
Finally, we used the basic shapes to further develop the image, adding details and shadows.
If you use a photo as a template, you can draw the proportions and anatomy even more accurately. Drawing your own cat is of course the most difficult, because it rarely sits still long enough.
You can also choose to have your Paint by Numbers own photo of your cat. Click on the image below and immediately receive a 20% offers on your own photo!

Drawing a lying cat
Hardly any animal manages to lie as casually as a cat.

Drawing a running cat from the side
A cat can be depicted quite easily in this pose. In the drawing on the rightwe have avoided hatching and unnecessary shadows to emphasize the body shape.

Draw a running cat slightly from the front
This pose also shows a cat's anatomy very well. There is some detail in the drawing, but no shading.

Drawing a cat from the side
On the far left you will see the basic drawing again and next to it the actual drawing with shadow. In the last step we coloured the cat.

Cat jumping down drawing
Here is a drawing of a cat jumping down somewhere. First the preparatory drawing with basic shapes and frame, then the drawing with hatching and finally the coloring.

Playful cats drawing
Here you see a playful tabby cat reaching for something with its paws.

Drawing sneaky cats
This cat sneaks around and just spins as it walks. We have shaded the fur in the drawing.

A growldrawing cat
When a cat feels threatened, it arches its back and stretches it upwards and starts hissing.

Drawing a kitten
The coat is much fluffier than that of an adult cat.
