1. Simple built-in hobby table

If you have an unused corner of your home or an awkward space that's too small for a large piece of furniture, that could be an excellent place for a built-in desk. You could even turn an unused closet into a functional place to work on diamond painting.

Creating a built-in desk is a fun project, and it's an excellent way to turn wasted space into a functional place to work on yourhobby to work. And this way you create a lot of storage space under the desk.

Measure how much space you have to work with. Because your table is built-in, the work surface can extend from one wall to the other. You can purchase a tabletop, worktop, countertop, or even a piece of plywood to use as a worktop.

Next you need to find a way to support the worksheet. Using organizers are a great option that gives you plenty of room to store supplies - if you have enough space. If space is tight, you can use shelf brackets to attach the worktop directly to the wall.

2. Sawhorse hobby table

If you're looking for a simple, minimalist desk that you can make in under an hour, this is it! As a bonus, the height of the finished project works well whether you like to sit or stand while working.

Go to your local hardware store and buy two unfinished wooden onessawpoles. They should be approximately 80 cm high and 85 cm wide. You will also need a tabletop or piece of plywood, four screws, a tape measure, a handsaw, a pencil and an electric drill.

If you buy a pre-built table top, it will probably be about 30 inches wide. In order for the sawhorse to fit properly underneath, they will need to be shortened slightly before assembly. Use your handsaw to cut the horizontal surfaces of each sawhorse to the correct width and then assemble them according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Drill a hole six inches from each end of both saw legs. You have to go indrill four holes in total (two for each sawhorse). Then turn the worktop over so that you are looking at the bottom. Find the center of the short side and then measure every 20 cm and make a mark. Repeat this on the other side. These marks indicate where you will center the sawhorses.

Position your saw legs so that they are parallel to each other and about 14 inches apart. Center the work surface on it and adjust each sawhorse so that it lines up with the marks you made. Place a screw in one of the holes you made in the saw legs and use your drill to screw it into the worktop. Repeat with the other three holes.

Finally, turn the desk over and you're ready to start crafting! The desk should stand about 34 inches high, making it perfect for a stool instead of a standard chair. Due to its height, this desk is also a good option if you like to stand while workingto craft.

3. Wall-mounted hobby table

If you have a lot of wall space but very little floor space, a wall-mounted craft table can be a nice solution. While it won't disappear into its own cubbyhole like the desk mentioned above, you can still use it to create a spacious and well-stocked craft corner without taking up a lot of precious floor space. You can also customize this project to create a workspace for one, two, or more people.

Start by going to a hardware store and purchasing twin rails, shelves and shelf brackets. You will also need wall anchors, screws, a tape measure and...spirit level, a drill and a piece of plywood to use as a desktop. Depending on what you want the final project to look like, you may also want to get some spray paint for the shelves, brackets, and rails and wood stain for the plywood.

All those supplies may make this project sound challenging, but it's a piece of cake for anyone with minimal home furnishing knowledge. With patience and creativity, this project is endlessly adaptable. Moreover, it is a great solution for anyone who wants a spacious craft room with plenty of storage space.

4. Transform a bookcase into a hobby table

If you need a place to work on diamond painting, but don't have much money to spend or tools, making a desk out of bookcases is a great option. With two small bookcases, a desktop and some nails, you can create a functional and visually appealing place to work on your latest project.

Buy two identical three-shelf bookcases. They don't have to be fancy and have a value of around €25 to €30. After this you will need a sheet to use as a worksheet. IKEA has affordable table tops that work great. Alternatively, you can purchase a piece from a local hardware storebuy a countertop in the desired length.

Assemble the bookcases. The bookcase is the legs of the hobby table. The planks should face outwards. Use nails to glue the worktop to the top. Let dry and your new desk is ready for use. Place baskets on the shelves to create the perfect places to store all your diamond painting supplies.

5. Hobby table with four chairs

Is crafting a family activity in your home? Or do you like to work on diamond painting with your friends? If so, building a 4-seater hobby table is a fantastic way to make room forenjoy your favourite hobbies with the people you love. With four desk bases and two table tops you can create a large table that provides storage space and work surfaces for four people.

You can buy four modular bedside tables or filing cabinets. For this approach, you'll want to find nightstands/cabinets that are about 12 to 14 inches high. Set the bedside tables  into a square, so that a set of shelves/drawers face outward on each side. Make sure there is enough space between the bedside tables is, because this is the place where a human being will sit.

Attach two table tops to the tops of the shelves to create a large work surface. Countertops or plywood also work. When you're done, you'll have a large table with plenty of work and storage space that can be used by four people at the same time.

Turn your craft corner into a perfect diamond painting workspace

Building a desk to work on is just the beginning. Once you've worked out the basic steps, it's time to make the space perfect for diamond painting. Start by making sure you have enough light.Ideally, you have a lamp that shines on your work surface.

You will also need a place to store your paintings in progress. This is especially important if you have pets or children. Leaving your work on your desk can be a disaster, so you need to make sure you have places to put it. The easiest option is to create a DIY portfolio by stapling two pieces of cardboard together. Leave one side open so you can slide your diamond painting in.

Your craft table should also have some sort of storage space for tools and supplies. If your craft nook has shelves, baskets are ideal for storingaccessories and other tools. For diamond painting stones, buy or make an organizer. Organize all your stones by colour, separating round and square stones, and store them neatly when not in use.

Make sure your crafting area is comfortable too! Invest in an ergonomic chair that supports your body well. Be aware of how much time you usually spend working on a project, and make sure your crafting area is set up so that you can enjoy your hobby without straining your body.

Conclusion: Hobby room diamond painting

Creating the perfect workspace for diamond painting doesn't have to be complicated or cost a lot of money. With the ideas above you can create a comfortable and functional space. When you're done, you'll have a space to work on diamond painting (and other crafts) with ease.
