Your painting is finished – but there are still stones left?
Your diamond painting is finished, the motif shines – and you have already found a beautiful place to let your work of art shine. But as is often the case, there are still quite a few left after the last stone. What now? At Painting by Numbers Expert you will consciously receive some extra stones - so you can be sure that you will not be short of anything. The great thing is: these leftover stones are far too valuable to throw away. They are perfect for creative upcycling projects, seasonal decorations or DIY gifts!
Easter is coming, but your old decorations arein need of replacement? In many stores the choice is limited or not your style. Why not make something beautiful yourself with your Diamond Painting leftovers?
Stylish decoration instead of brightly coloured merchandise
For me, the decoration must match the interior: in my living room you mainly see light gray, silver, pink and white. Find suitable Easter decorations? Virtually impossible! But my remaining stones match these colours perfectly. So why not add your own accents?
With some skill, materials from web shops and the drugstore and leftovers from previous projects, I made personal, stylish Easter decorationswhich completely suits my style.
What you need for your DIY Easter decoration:
- Styrofoam Easter bunnies and eggs
- Sequins in your favourite colours
- Pins
- Paper borders or ribbon
- Glitter glue or decorative stone glue
- Satin ribbon for hanging
- Decorative stones and rhinestones
- And of course: your leftover Diamond Painting stones!
This is how it works: step-by-step guide

- Connect the flowers with a paper edge and stick it in place with craft glue.
- Decorate the edge of the border with Diamond Painting stones - this gives structure and shine.
- Create an arc of sequins above the flower shape.
- Decorate empty spaces with decorative stones or deliberately leave them open – less is sometimes more!
Decorating polystyrene bunnies
- Cover the entire hare with sequins, except the face, paws, ears and tail.
- First draw these open parts with felt-tip pen and then decorate them with glitter stones.
- Optional: stick decorative stones on certain sequins.
