There it is the largest predator and feeds mainly on antelope, wildebeest, buffalo and zebra. Many people love lions because they are considered strong, brave and beautiful. Are you also a fan of this animal? Then you will definitely be very happy with today's drawing lesson. However, the motive is not that simple. You may need several tries until you get therelion looks really good. You are sure to make an impression with a self-drawn lion, so it is definitely worth it!

How to draw a lion?

We have added images at the bottom of this blog article.

Step 1: Start with an oval for the body and a smaller circle for the head.

Step 2: Draw small circles at equal distances. This is where the lion's feet will be later. Also add two ears and a nose.

Step 3: Four other circles will form the joints of the lion. Pay particular attention to the spacing and position, otherwise the legs will not look good later.
Step 4: The moons can be drawn free or jagged. The legs, on the other hand, must be drawn with precision.

Step 5: Once you're done drawing all the legs, you can erase the circles. You don't need them anymore. When you are satisfied, you can trace the image nicely with a black fineliner. Then erase all pencil lines.

Step 6: Do you think so?Would you like to colour the lion? The best way to do this is to use two different shades of brown: a light brown and a dark brown. You can also use yellow for the body. If you use coloured pencils, you can easily draw a thin layer over the yellow with a brown one. This way you get a nice light brown.
