At Painting by Numbers Expert we show you 10 creative and practical ideas to use your leftovers wisely. Also ideal for craft afternoons with children!

2. Making glittery Christmas ornaments

With a little glue and creativity, you can quickly transform your leftovers into festive decorations for the Christmas tree. For example, decorate cardboard stars, wooden pendants or transparent balls and create beautiful Christmas decorations.

Extra idea: Use your Diamond Painting pen to place the stones precisely. This way you can make ornaments with patterns, letters or small figures – fun to do with children!

Do you have any old cross stitch patterns at home? Perfect! You can use it very well as a basis for a Diamond Painting project. The grids are very similar, and with some patience a completely new work of art is created - with a familiar pattern, but a new technique.

Recommended: Use skin-friendly materials and, if necessary, apply a transparent layer of lacquer so that the stones stay in place.

DIY idea: Use strong magnets and attach the decoration with a glue gun. Also a fun project for children!

8. Craft fun for children: decorating drawings with stones

Draw simple figures on cardboard with children – such as animals, flowers or letters – and let them fill in the shapes with diamonds. This creates unique works of art that stimulate creativity and fine motor skills.

Parent tip: Use craft glue with a dosing syringe so that children can easily apply the stones themselves.

9.Decorative texts with character

Whether “Home”, “Love” or “Welcome” – with wooden letters or canvas and a few glitter accents you can create decorative words that immediately catch the eye. Perfect for the living room, hallway or bedroom.

Styling tip: Choose ton-sur-ton colours for a calm look – or go for contrasts for extra flair.

10. Donate leftover stones

Has your stock become too large or is it no longer of any use to you? Then consider donating! Schools, daycare centers or craft groups are often very happy with extramaterials – especially if the budget is limited.
