Round stones are easier to place than square stones. This is because you do not have to press the stones against each other. However, square stones give a more detailed diamond painting. We always recommend square stones for advanced and ambitious beginners and round stones for people who are making diamond painting for the first time.

There are many shops that sell Diamond Painting paintings. This means that there are also many different types of stones. In addition to the shape of the stones, there is often also a difference in the material from which the stones are made. The difference in material is often reflected in how shiny the stones are.

The d iamond painting stones from PaintingBeing experts of very high quality. This is partly due to the material we use.

    Facets
Besides the difference in material, there are other aspects in which d iamond painting is different from other facets. By facets we mean the number of squares a stone has. We have tried to make it clear to you in the photo below. The more facets a stone has, the more the stone sparkles when light falls on it. Our round stones have 26 facets and the square ones have 13.

    Material
The stones we sell are made of the material "resin". This material is known for its very bright colours and high shine. Personally, we think this is very nice, because a diamond painting stands out even more when hung on the wall! The gloss effect is best achieved when there is(daylight) shines on. Another material used by many shops is "Ariel". This material is less shiny than the material we use for our stones. Unfortunately, the colours of the Ariel stones are less bright....

Tips for Diamond Painting with the special stones

For beginners it appears that the round stones are slightly easier to set. They need to be placed a little less accurately and are therefore more likely to make mistakes. The squares must be set accurately (e.g. using a ruler) or adjusted with tweezers.

On the other hand are photos with round and rhinestonesspecial stones slightly less detailed, because the stones are larger. At 10 cm there are 40 stones for the square, and 35 stones for the round. Calculated on a large size (e.g. 50 x 75 cm) this makes a clear difference.

But as always, everyone should choose the motif and type of stone they like!

    Conclusion Round versus Square stones

We especially recommend the round stones for beginners, because they require less precision than the square ones. In addition, they are particularly easy to stick, so you can work on them very quickly and relaxed.

The round stones forgive minor mistakes, as there is always a bit of the canvas showing through between the stones, so no precise work is required - they are easy to set and do not need to be set at the right angle. This is also a huge advantage for the smaller formats.

These properties make the round stars particularly suitable for all those who want a fast yet beautiful (success) result
